  • Super album 1er fois que je vois cadrans la collection hzhaha

  • The first compilation in the excellent long-running Best Dance Album in the World Series. This series took the meaning of 90's dance music to a completely new level, an era that would not be forgotten at least for those who grew up in the 90's. What makes these albums so successful are the songs they used, because these were tracks that were popular at the time, rather than today which personally has more of a lasting impact on me. This first album is a huge success in my opinion, and is definitely worth having if you're interested in late 80's, early 90's dance music. Another thing that makes these albums so great are the fact that they not only use new music from when they were released, but also a handful of older songs that were probably still popular at the time, giving it a lot of variety. The first CD does not disappoint, as it starts with Ride On Time by Black Box, a title that many people would have known, whether a dance fan or not. Other incredible choices such as Haddaway's What Is Love, Dr Alban's It's My Life, Snap's The Power and East Side Beat's Ride Like The Wind make it onto this compilation near the beginning. Towards the middle it feels more energy driven with the likes of Rozalla's Everybody's Free, Pump Up The Volume by M.A.R.R.S and of course Theme From S-Express. Later on it goes into the serious side of dance, which is my favourite including Heaven 17's Temptation (Brothers In Rhythm Remix) which is easily one of my favourite songs of all time, M People's How Can I Love You More which is a classic, KLF's 3AM Eternal which should get your heart pumping, the fast dance classic I'm Gonna Get You Baby by Bizarre INC Featuring Angie Brown and finishes off with Rage's Run To You which is a strong way to go out. I loved every song on here, except maybe the Utah Saint's song but even that one is still good. This CD is just that awesome! The second CD is not as good due to song choices in places, but the ones that are good are the best of the best really. It starts off nicely with Dee-Lite's Groove Is In The Heart, and we get top-notch tunes such as Ce Ce Peniston's Finally, Inner City's Big Fun and Matronix's Got To Have Your Love in the first half. There are a couple of duds with the forgettable appearance of Arrested Development and the overrated Kris Kross Jump song. My favourite part of the CD are tracks 10-14 which are all great, particularly Soul II Soul's Back To Life, Sybil's The Love I Lost and Incognito's Always There. The end is just cluttered with duds as we are given two boring reggae titles, a slow song by Kenny Thomas and the worst Soul II Soul song I've heard - Joy. Sydney Youngblood's If Only I Could is a great song however. There is no comparison between this and CD 1, as the latter clearly wins, but this one can still be a lot of fun.Overall, the first album in the series deserves 5 stars from me despite it's few flaws, because it is just that good. I don't think albums like this representing these times were as good, so this is definitely a great album to start with if you are looking at re-visiting the past. It is truly one of the best!

  • I Have volume 3 its great and i want to get the whole collection, how many of these were made?

  • I believe 15 now in the official series, but there were a few spin-offs such as the '95 release that came after Part 5, and the new 2019 album.
